Treats
Yogurt is very healthy for dogs (and humans). It is especially helpful if a dog is on antibiotics for treatment of an illness. Antibiotics destroy the beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract along with the harmful bacteria, causing diarrhea and digestive difficulties. Adding active yogurt to the dog's diet contributes enzymes and bacteria that aid digestion. It tastes good, too! Yogurt
Treat #1
Using a small
cookie sheet, cover it with waxed paper, then cover it with dollops of plain
yogurt, slightly smashed into small cookie-sized rounds. Place in freezer.
When thoroughly frozen, they can be put into freezer containers. Makes a cool,
healthy treat on a hot day.
Yogurt
Treat #2
Using a small cookie sheet, cover it with waxed paper. Dip small dog bone treats into plain yogurt, then place on covered cookie sheet, and place in freezer. When the yogurt is thoroughly frozen, the treats can be put into freezer containers. |
