CHANCE Chance
is a neutered boxer mix a little
over a year old. He weighed about 55 lbs. at the vet's office when he
went into his foster home in September. He has a half tail, not a stub.
He must have been an inside dog when he was little; he knows what a
couch is and makes himself right at home in the porch room when the
home's older dog is out in the yard, but she won't share the couch with
him when she's inside. So he has to stay in the yard in the dog
house to avoid any kind of confrontation.
He is well cared for, but he cannot be brought into the house because of the older dog, who will not tolerate him. Chance has a doghouse for shelter from the elements and plenty of food and water. The younger dogs play and romp with him (through the lot fence) when they are outside -- he bowls them over sometimes if they are not separated by the fence. He is sweet, very energetic, and loves kids and other dogs. He chases cats. He likes to roam, so he will need a good fenced yard. Chance is a wonderfully friendly and good-natured dog. He deserves a good home with children who can play with him. If you can give Chance his forever home, please contact Sharee praisegod@campagape.net , or Sherra casablancamama@bellsouth.net. Balboa
Someone
called us and said that someone had jumped their fence and
dropped off a dog, and that the AC had told them he was going to be put
down if they took him. He had on a chain collar that would have been
embedded in just a few weeks. We have name him Balboa, as in Rocky
Balboa, and he is approximately 18 months, good with most other dogs,
and is not good with cats. He is also very wonderful with my
4 year old two legged daughter. He can sit, and is pretty decent on a
leash. I think he is mostly boxer, although he is definitely a mix..
He is brindle and white, with docked tail and uncropped ears. He was lightly heartworm positive, and as of 1/4/08 has only a little way to go in his heartworm treatment. If you are interested in Balboa, please contact Garland at garland@turtlemoonrescue.org. Balboa is in Birmingham, AL. 10/7/07 |

Sampson
Sampson is a 6 year old fawn neutered male Boxer mix. He has always lived with my grandfather who is no longer able to care for such an energetic animal. Sampson lives in a small pen 24/7 and desperately needs a home where he can run and play and act like a normal dog. He is friendly and eager to please, but does need training. He is up to date on vaccines and flea and heartworm medications are given monthly. Attitude around kids or other animals is unknown, but he has never shown aggression toward anyone around him. A good home is needed ASAP since we are worried about my grandfather and the welfare of the dog. Please call or email if interested. The dog is in Greensboro, NC right now, but can be transported to Knoxville, TN when needed. Shannon Baker, DVM 865-691-4728 sswbaker@gmail.com 1/31/08 |

Sugar Ray
Sugar Ray, a boxer mix,
is such sweet little boy! He is small to medium sized with the
prettiest face that looks like it's been airbrushed with dark brown
over caramel.Ray was scheduled to be
euthanized at Maury County Animal Control because he was a stray with a
third eyelid problem that was causing him to have only partial vision.
His eyelid surgery is scheduled for late March, so he should be
able to see completely after that.
He is playful and happy
and so clingy! He loves to be with his humans and loves to
snuggle. He will fall asleep more quickly if he is near your feet
or the noise of the tv - he is a true people-pleaser personality.
He is crate trained and housebroken, as long as he gets his
scheduled potty breaks!
Ray will do best in a
home with another young dog or young adult dog, preferably a
female. Since he had a problem with his eyesight, he tends to be
a little clumsy like a puppy but seems easy to voice train. Ray
is very loving and affectionate and willing to sit at your feet all day
long! He deserves a second chance at life!
If you are interested in Ray, please do not contact Middle TN Boxer Rescue; contact Laurie at lauriekay@mac.com 3/9/08 |

George
Please refer to my ID ## when you ask about me. ID#A033008. My name is GEORGE. I am a male, brown and white Boxer. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years old. I have been at the shelter since Mar 26, 2008. I was surrendered to the shelter by my owners, and I am up for adoption. I need a new home ... soon. I have NOT been neutered, so I will have to see a Vet before I go home with you. They will make all the arrangements for that at the front desk when you get here, and then you can pick me up at the Vet's office when the surgery is done. My adoption fee is only $80 w/ approved application, and that includes my first shots, a heartworm test, a rabies shot voucher for $11, a neuter surgery voucher for $32, and my transportation to the Vet. Please contact Rutherford Co. PAWS (615) 898-7740 Please do not
contact Middle TN
Boxer Rescue for more information about George, as he is not in our
