Juju
Juju
is a one and a half year old sweetheart. He is great with other
dogs, except for one other male in our kennel. He would LOVE to have a
female four-legged housemate! He is a little shy around new people
until he gets to know you a bit. After that you have a best friend for
life. This young guy needs a great home!
Juju is up to date on his shots and is neutered. If you think you might like to adopt Juju or any of our other dogs, please fill out an online application. 2/25/09 |

Charlie
If you love the stong and silent type this dog's for you. Charlie is a 5 year old mild-mannered cutie who would love to call your family his own. Charlie needs to be the only dog or at least the only large dog in his new home, although he does well with smaller breeds. He is excellent with children - even the small ones! Charlie seems to have had some obedience training at some time. He seems to respond to the Sit, Down and Come command. He needs a little work on his leash manners although he is a very gentle dog. MTBR has no reason to believe that Charlie would not do well in a home with cats. If you think you might like to adopt Charlie or any of our other dogs, please visit our website at www.mtbr.org and fill out an online application. All email inquiries will be referred to the website. 4/18/09 |

Puppyman
Puppyman is about 6 months old, 40 pounds of pure joyful puppy. He's been neutered, all shots including rabies and Bordetella, is on heartworm preventative, been wormed and fully vet checked. Good to go! He is such a doll baby! Even though he's not a pedigreed dog, he has what I think is a dynamite combination of Boxer and Chocolate Lab. He's a happy boy with a constantly wagging tail and loves people.Hecraveslots of attention, loves to be cuddled, massaged and is very, very playful. He enjoys long walks and playing in our fenced yard - he chases tennis balls and acts like a complete nut! He is absolutely gorgeous to look at - has a soft brown coat with white tips on all 4 paws and a beautiful white blaze on his chest. His eyes are a soft amber and his face is oh so expressive! He knows he's handsome - no self-esteem issues here! We are head over heels in love, as if you couldn't tell! We are pretty fussy about where he goes, as you can appreciate. I feel totally responsible for the rest of his life. I wish we could keep him, but we have two small "senior" dogs, and one is a Chihuahua - need I say more! The chihuahua is totally alpha and goes ballistic when he sees Puppyman through the window. Not pretty. Our other boy is a mix breed, 11 years old, and scared to death of big dogs. They are both stressed out with the new dog, but we are doing our best to calm them and reassure them he won't be here forever! Puppyman has one "fault". He is a digger. He absolutely hates to be left alone outside and as soon as one of us leaves our fenced yard, he begins to dig by the gate to get to my husband or me. And those Boxer paws are big and powerful! Doesn't take long before he's dug a huge hole. He needs a fenced yard for exercise, potty and play, but cannot be left alone outside. He is a definite couch potato inside - loves to cuddle and sprawl across our laps! Loves petting and massages! Is a "kisser" and nuzzler. Incredibly affectionate! Charming! Also, he definitely needs obedience training. He's very, very smart - catches on quickly, but can be puppy-stubborn. We've taught him to sit - he responds right away. Working on "come" and "give", and walking on the leash is still a challenge. I know he'll respond quickly - he wants to please. He is a great dog overall and will give his new parents tons of love, joy, loyalty and fun for life! If you think you might like to adopt Puppyman or any of our other dogs, please visit our website at www.mtbr.org and fill out an online application. All email inquiries will be referred to the website. 5/8/09 |

Denver
Denver is 1 year old this month. He went through obedience training at 4 months old. He is a gift from God for me. I absolutley love him. We go on walks 1-2 times a day and he sleeps with me at night. I have an 8 year old son and Denver loves to 'hug" him; he will jump up and put his forearms around my son's waist and "hug" him. He is like my 'other son" haha. Denver is fully vetted and microchipped. He has no health problems that I know of. I have 2 cats that he was raised with and he loves them. He has not been dog socialized much, but he has had a male German Shephard friend, and he loved him. The other day when I took him to the vet, there was a male pit bull puppy in there and they fell in love as well. We live in the country, and unforuntalty there are alot of strays out here that keep him entertained, but he is in a large fenced in yard. I am moving to a house where I may not be able to keep him. I am doing all I can to prepare to take him, but in case I can't, I will need to find him a home. I am VERY picky when it comes to people who want animals (especially boxers). I want him in a home that knows and understands boxers. He is VERY special. He talks, he wiggles, he snores, he passes gas (haha) - he is a boxer, and yes he boxes. We have lots of playtime with him and he is a big wrestler; he loves to wrestle with me and my husband and my son. Denver eats Science Diet Advanced Fitness dog food. He is on Frontline and Heartguard monthly. His tail was docked by breeder and his dewclaws but I DID not and would not cut his ears. He weighs about 67 lbs now. He is an inside dog. When I have to leave during the day he goes outside if its only a couple of hours, but if I have to be gone into the night or late or a long time he is in the air conditioned garage. He is a wonderful little man, but he does need someone as strong willed as he is. He can sit, lie down, shake, and I am working with him on a few other commmands. He walks best on a harness - his leash training was not that successful - and a firm voice. Denver loves going places in the truck, and thinks the back seat is his. I am tearing up writing this because the thought of not having him with us is very sad. I love him. I live in Savannah , TN, and will be moving around the middle to the end of June. If you think you might be interested in adopting Denver, please submit an application from this website. The application will be forwarded to Denver's owner, and the adoption will be directly from the owner, not through MTBR. 5/22/09 |

Toby Toby is about 3 yrs.old. He is the most
loving dog! He has always been
an outside dog. He loves to go for long walks. He can "sit", "sit
pretty" (thats when he sits sideways), "Lay", "Lay over", "roll". He
doesnt like cats much. He is on a run now - we call him an escape
artist because he seems to be clever enough to get loose from the
cable. He really needs a fenced yard. He has been neutered.
We are losing our house, and cannot keep him. He is just a sweet, handsome guy and we are sorry to see him go. We currently live in Madisonville, TN. If you think you might be interested in adopting Toby, please contact Keith at krogers1966@charter.net or 865-661-2405. Ollie
We adopted Ollie from Premier Vetcare
back in October. The Vet had
rescued him from a lady who left him to die. He had been attacked by
another dog. The markings you will see in the photo are from that
attack. He stayed at the Vet's office for approximately 6 months.
Within that six months they crate trained and housebroke him. Once he
came with us, he became a outside dog with our other boxer. Ollie is
well behaved with our kid or going for walks. It is only with
other dogs he becomes jealous. He is very loving and playful. He loves
his toys. He will play fetch but doesnt like bring his toy back. He
just needs a home where he is the only dog. He likes being outside or
inside.
Ollie is approx. 4 year old Male. He has
been fixed. Weights
approx 89lbs. He just had his yearly checkup in April and is perfectly
healthy.
